Dr. Radzak discusses Work-Family Conflict of Collegiate and Secondary School Athletic Trainers Who Are Parents with Dr. Stephanie Singe and Kristin McKenney.
Dr. Singe is an Associate Professor, and Clinical Education Coordinator of the CAATE accredited athletic training program at the University of Connecticut. Over the last 15 years she has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles on subjects related to work-life balance, professional commitment and retention, and professional socialization. Her work has focused on determining factors that contribute to work-life conflict for the athletic trainer working in a variety of settings as well as strategies that can minimize the negative impact of those conflicts. Dr. Singe’s research efforts have also included gaining an appreciation of the complex and dynamic process on how an athletic trainer gains understanding of their varied roles within the profession as a means to facilitate improved role inductance and continuance.
Kristin McKenney is an athletic trainer at Emerson College. McKenney is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and also certified in AED and CPR. In her career, she also has two publications and presentations, one on Treatment for Orthopaedic Conditions and the other based on treatments surrounding Orthopaedic Conditions, specifically, Myofascial Release.

Dr. Kara Radzak interviews Dr. Caroline Lisee Gender Differences in Psychological Responses to Recovery After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Before Return to Sport.
Dr. Caroline Lisee received her Ph.D. from MSU in 2020 and is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the MOTION lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She studies aspects of muscular performance and physical activity after ACL injury to help identify clinical tools to reduce risk of re-injury and developing osteoarthritis.

Dr. Jimmy Onate joined The Ohio State University in January 2010. He earned his PhD in Human Movement Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with a focus in biomechanics and motor learning. He has been an academic research faculty member interested in all aspects of human movement relative to injury prevention and performance optimization since 2003. 
Dr. Darin Padua is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science and Director of the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory. He is an adjunct faculty member in the following Departments at UNC: Orthopaedics, Biomedical Engineering, and Allied Health Sciences. Dr. Padua serves as the acting Chair of the Research Committee for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Foundation. His primary research interests focus on understanding factors that influence knee stability, identification of risk factors associated with knee injury, identification of evidence based prevention strategies for knee injury, and validation of performance enhancement training techniques.

Dr. Kara Radzak interviews Natalie Kupperman, M.Ed. and Jennifer Tymkew, M.S., about wearable–derived workload metrics and injury risk in team-based sports.
Jen Tymkew is currently an Associate Director for Athletic Training Services at Northwestern University working primarily with the men’s basketball team. She has been at Northwestern since 2009 and received degrees from Michigan State University and the University of Kentucky.
Natalie Kupperman is currently a third year doctoral student at the University of Virginia where she studies the use of wearable technologies in improving training and healthcare outcomes in team-based sports.
